Italy hosts various literary and cultural festivals this October

Various cultural and literary festivals are launching across Italy this October. The Campania Libri Festival 2026 is taking place in Naples at Palazzo Reale and the Biblioteca Nazionale. Under the theme ‘Jesce sole’, the fifth edition features over 120 publishing exhibitors and approximately 300 scheduled appointments, including presentations and workshops.

In Nuoro, the MAN Museum is hosting BiblioMANia 2026, a multidisciplinary series running throughout October that explores the intersection of literature, science, and art. Meanwhile, the Teatro di Napoli has inaugurated the first edition of the TXT Festival, featuring British playwright Martin Crimp as the guest of honor.

Other regional literary activities include the Splēn edizioni tour, which moves between Palermo, Naples, and Marzamemi, and a presentation in Cagliari regarding the ‘Nati per Leggere e Nati per la Musica in Sardegna 2026’ bibliographic guide. In Novara, the Circolo dei lettori is also hosting a series of book presentations and themed meetings throughout the month.
