Lotto 6 aus 49 jackpot split among winners in Hesse and Lower Saxony
The 50 million euro maximum jackpot for the German Lotto 6 aus 49 has been won for the second consecutive time. The total prize pool was split among three winners.
One winner from North Hesse received approximately 16.67 million euros. The remaining portion was split between two winners in Lower Saxony, with one playing online in the Wesermarsch district and another at a retail location in the Wittmund district. A third participant in Lower Saxony won a smaller amount without the superzahl.
This occurrence is notable as it marks the second time in a row that the maximum jackpot has been claimed, following a single winner in Thuringia on August 15. This sequence of maximum jackpot payouts is described as unprecedented in the history of the game over the last 70 years.
