Man in Tianjin dies from acute kidney failure

A 30-year-old man in Tianjin, China, has died from acute kidney failure following severe complications. The patient, identified as Mr. Li, was admitted to the hospital with intense back pain and swollen joints.

Medical examinations revealed extremely high uric acid levels of 810 µmol/L, indicating severe chronic damage. The condition progressed rapidly into acute kidney failure, leading to acute hyperkalemia and cardiac arrhythmia. Despite previous medical warnings regarding his high uric acid levels, the patient had reportedly neglected dietary advice, believing his physical strength protected him from serious illness.
