Man injured by wife in Skopje's Aerodrom district as police record nine family‑violence incidents
Police in North Macedonia say a 42‑year‑old man from Skopje reported that his 42‑year‑old wife threw an old object at him, slicing his hand. The incident was logged on 11 July 2026 at about 09:30 in the Aerodrom municipality, and authorities are documenting the case.
The case forms part of a surge in domestic‑violence reports, with police recording nine family‑related incidents across the country in the preceding 24 hours. Other cases included a 37‑year‑old woman in Kavadarci assaulting her 57‑year‑old mother while under the influence of alcohol, the detention of a 71‑year‑old man in Kumanovo for attacking his 50‑year‑old spouse, and an aggressive 58‑year‑old man in Debar confronting his mother. Additional arrests were made in Štip, Pehčevo, Skopje’s central area, and Rančevo, involving partners and relatives. Police said they are taking measures to fully investigate and document each incident.
