Hà Tĩnh expressway collision injures five people

A collision between a sleeper bus and a tractor-trailer occurred on the Bãi Vọt-Hàm Nghi Expressway in Hà Tĩnh Province at approximately 3:50 AM on September 6. The accident took place at Km 508+000 in the Toàn Lưu commune area.

The crash resulted in five people on the sleeper bus sustaining injuries, primarily to their necks, arms, and legs. Both vehicles were heavily damaged and remained in the second lane, causing significant traffic congestion for North-South bound vehicles.

Authorities responded by diverting traffic through the junction of the expressway and Provincial Road 548 in Đồng Lộc commune to reach National Highway 1. Initial reports indicate that weather conditions were clear, the road surface was normal, and safety systems were fully operational at the time of the incident. An investigation into the cause of the accident is currently underway.
