MAN ramps up electric truck output with mixed diesel‑electric line in Munich

MAN celebrates one year of producing electric and diesel trucks on a single, fully integrated assembly line at its Munich plant. The flexible system can build up to 100 trucks a day, regardless of propulsion type, allowing rapid response to customer orders and market shifts. Production manager Michael Kobriger highlighted the line’s efficiency and its role in supporting customers’ transition to electric mobility.

More than 5,000 workers have received high‑voltage training, and the company is extending its electrified portfolio to Poland. The Kraków facility will soon start series production of the 12‑ton eTGL and the 16‑ton eTGM models, while the Nuremberg site has begun in‑house battery manufacturing. These moves broaden MAN’s electric truck range from 12 to 50 tonnes and aim to meet growing demand across distribution, construction and other sectors.
