Man threatens to kill family and releases dog in violent Skopje assault

A 36‑year‑old man violently assaulted his wife, mother‑in‑law and two young children (aged 4 and 6) in Skopje. He shouted, grabbed his wife by the arm, pushed her, and injured both her and the children. He then smashed furniture, struck his mother‑in‑law with a stick, and threatened to kill everyone present, brandishing a knife.

The suspect released his Sharplaninec‑breed dog, which attacked a family member, biting the arm and leg. Police intervened after the victim's relatives arrived. The Public Prosecutor's Office has opened a criminal case for bodily injury, endangering safety and causing public danger, and has requested pre‑trial detention to prevent flight and repeat violence.
