Seremban court: Man charged with killing AKPS officer wife
Mohd Khairudin Safi’ai, 37, appeared at the Seremban Magistrate's Court to face charges under Section 302 of the Penal Code for the murder of his wife, Norhazwani Ibrahim, 35. The incident occurred on October 15 at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) civil servant housing complex in Nilai.
Norhazwani was an officer with the Malaysia Border Control and Protection Agency (AKPS). Post-mortem results indicated she died from neck compression, alongside stab wounds to her abdomen and cheek. The incident is believed to have stemmed from domestic disputes following the victim's request for a divorce.
Following the incident, the suspect surrendered to the Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi Police Station. Police records indicate the suspect has 16 prior criminal records, including narcotics and theft offenses. As the murder charge falls under the jurisdiction of the High Court, no plea was recorded during the magistrate proceedings. The court has scheduled a mention for December 22 to await the autopsy report.
