MAN Truck & Bus commits €1.2 billion to expand Kraków plant

MAN Truck & Bus signed a memorandum of understanding with the Polish government to invest approximately €1.2 billion in its Kraków facility through 2038. The expansion will more than double the plant’s area from 130,000 m² to about 270,000 m², adding body‑in‑white, paint‑shop and cab‑assembly lines and new sustainable production halls.

The upgraded site will become MAN’s second dedicated electric‑truck factory in Europe after Munich. From mid‑July 2026 the fully electric MAN eTGL light‑duty truck will be built there, with the medium‑duty eTGM slated to follow later in the year. The investment supports the MAN2030+ programme and is intended to secure the production of the next generation of trucks on the TRATON Modular System platform, creating additional jobs and strengthening MAN’s presence in the region.

CEO Alexander Vlaskamp said the investment “further expands our presence in Europe and positions us strongly for the ongoing transformation of the industry.”
