MAN Truck & Bus commits €1.2 bn to expand Kraków plant in Poland
MAN Truck & Bus announced a €1.2 billion investment to enlarge its commercial‑vehicle factory in Kraków, Poland. The programme will double the plant’s floor area from about 130,000 m² to roughly 270,000 m² and add new body‑shop, paint and cab‑assembly facilities. By mid‑July 2026 the site will begin series production of the fully electric eTGL truck, joining the existing eTGM line and making Kraków the company’s second battery‑electric truck hub after Munich.
The expansion will raise the workforce from around 3,000 to about 3,600 employees and supports MAN’s strategy to broaden its European presence and accelerate the rollout of zero‑emission trucks based on the TRATON Modular System. CEO Alexander Vlaskamp said the investment positions the Group well for the industry’s transformation to electric mobility.
