Mana Ashida to star in Japanese remake of ‘Extraordinary Attorney Woo’

Actors Mana Ashida and Fumiya Takahashi attended a production announcement for the upcoming drama ‘Minamida Min is a Genius’ (Minamida Min Bengoshi wa Tensai-gata), scheduled to premiere on October 19 on Kantele and Fuji TV, with global streaming on Netflix.

The series is a Japanese remake of the hit South Korean Netflix drama ‘Extraordinary Attorney Woo’. It follows Minamida Min, a rookie lawyer with autism spectrum disorder, as she navigates the legal profession and personal growth through her unique perspective.

During the event, Takahashi praised Ashida’s dedication, describing her as a ‘genius of effort’ who meticulously prepares for her roles behind the scenes. Ashida expressed her gratitude for Takahashi’s professionalism, noting that his commitment to his character helps her maintain her own focus during filming.
