Azul Linhas Aéreas expands routes and adjusts baggage pricing

Azul Linhas Aéreas is implementing several changes to its operations and pricing. In Manaus, a new weekly cargo flight using an Airbus A321 has launched, connecting Manaus to Lima, Peru. This route aims to strengthen logistics for the Manaus Free Trade Zone by providing an alternative to traditional hubs like Miami and Los Angeles.

In regional operations, the flight route between Corumbá and Campinas has been extended until November 30, 2026, following negotiations between local government and the airline. The route has shown high occupancy rates, driven largely by tourism and sport fishing. Additionally, Azul is set to resume direct flights between Porto Alegre and Montevideo, Uruguay, twice a week starting later this year.

Regarding consumer costs, the airline has adjusted its domestic baggage fees. The price for the first checked bag of up to 23kg has increased, with costs ranging between R$ 175 and R$ 250 depending on how far in advance the service is purchased.
