Manaus expands aerial cable reorganization in historic center

The Manaus City Hall is expanding its efforts to reorganize aerial wiring in the city's historic center. The initiative goes beyond removing obsolete cables to include the reorganization of active wires and an infrastructure survey of utility poles.

The project aims to cover 70 kilometers over the next 12 months. To manage the operation, the Municipal Institute of Urban Planning (Implurb) is utilizing a digital management system provided by the company Brasil Limpo. This tool allows officials to track executed services, register interventions, and monitor the removal and disposal of materials.

Implurb President Antonio Peixoto stated that the action addresses decades of accumulated urban issues, including overloaded poles and visual pollution, while improving public safety. The work involves coordination between the municipality, telecommunications companies, and energy concessionaires to ensure active services are not compromised during the process.
