Manaus launches professional training for 263 women via FavEla Empoder@

The FavEla Empoder@ program, a partnership between Softex and the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES), has launched its first phase of professional training in Manaus. The initiative is serving 263 women in the West Zone, exceeding the original target of 210 participants.

Designed to strengthen female entrepreneurship in peripheral territories, the program provides vocational training in areas such as sewing, marketing, manicure, pedicure, and eyebrow design. The initiative is structured in three stages: professional qualification, business acceleration with individual mentorship, and a final phase providing access to the Favela Estúdio for digital marketing, legal, and accounting support. The program also includes the possibility of seed capital up to R$ 5,000 to foster financial autonomy and income generation.
