Manaus police investigate violent attack on German national

A 61-year-old German national is in serious condition following a violent attack by his stepchild in the Praça 14 de Janeiro neighborhood of Manaus, Brazil. The suspect, identified as Aurora Naomi La Fey, has been indicted for attempted triple homicide and completed rape.

According to police delegate Cícero Túlio, the attack involved acts of cannibalism and severe physical mutilation. The victim suffered the loss of his eyes and ears. During the struggle, the victim attempted to flee the apartment by jumping from a third-floor balcony, landing on a neighboring roof before being rescued by emergency services.

The suspect reported to authorities that she had consumed marijuana earlier that day, which caused hallucinogenic effects. She claimed she went to the residence to talk to the victim but could not recall how the violence began, though she recalled flashes of biting the victim's face. Investigations indicate the suspect and victim did not have a close relationship, and the suspect's mother noted they did not get along due to the victim's lack of acceptance regarding the suspect's transgender identity.
