Manaus Relocates Women's Mobile Health Units to New Sites

The Municipality of Manaus announced that three Mobile Women's Health Units will operate from new addresses in the North and East zones beginning Monday, 20 July. In the North, the unit will be on Rua Lírios das Pedras in the Cidade de Deus neighbourhood near the Coema supermarket; in the East, it will be on Avenida Autaz Mirim in the Monte Sião community, Jorge Teixeira neighbourhood. Both locations will serve until 31 July.

Units in the West (Rua 27 de Novembro, Compensa), South (Rua Beta, Mundo Novo, Flores) and Rural (Ramal da Cooperativa, km 21 of BR‑174 near USFR Pau‑Rosa) remain at their current sites and will operate until 24 July. All units provide primary‑care services exclusively for women, including medical and nursing consultations, prenatal care, mammography, cervical‑cancer screening, ultrasound, rapid tests for pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections, family‑planning counseling and medication dispensing. They operate Monday to Friday, 07:00‑17:00, including municipal holidays.
