Manchester United targets West Ham winger Crysencio Summerville as price drops

Manchester United have opened club‑to‑club talks with West Ham United over Dutch winger Crysencio Summerville, whose contract runs until 2029. Following West Ham’s relegation, the club slashed the player's asking price from around £70 million to roughly £40 million, prompting a swift transfer race.

United see Summerville, 24, as a potential replacement on the left flank after the return of Marcus Rashford from loan. The Netherlands international impressed at the 2026 World Cup, registering two goals and two assists. Alongside United, Fulham, Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham have been linked to the winger, with Fulham reportedly ready to rival United for his signature.

If the deal proceeds, the fee is expected to be in the £35‑50 million range, representing a significant sale for West Ham as they prepare for life in the Championship.
