Mani, Greece Car Submerged in Pool – Driver and Child Rescued

On the afternoon of 15 July, a woman lost control of her car in the village of Oiti in Mani, Greece, and the vehicle entered a rental‑room pool. The driver managed to exit the car and pull her young child out, while the car remained submerged for about five hours, causing water to spill onto the road.

Rescue crews used an agricultural vehicle to pull the car from the water after witnesses warned people to stay clear. Local residents reported hearing a loud splash and seeing large amounts of water flow onto the street. Both the driver and the child emerged unharmed.
