Maniatakio Foundation launches summer cultural program in Koroni, Greece
The Maniatakio Foundation will host a series of cultural, social and developmental events in the town of Koroni from July through October 2026. A three‑day summer school (July 1‑3) will offer children aged 10‑14 hands‑on activities on Mediterranean diet, traditional cooking, olive‑oil production, pottery and folk dance, supported by the Kapetan Vasilis & Karmen Konstantakopoulos Foundation and local cultural bodies.
The program also features a slate of visual‑arts exhibitions in the foundation’s Tarsoulis Hall from early July to late October, showcasing works by a range of Greek and international artists in painting, photography, sculpture and mixed media. Complementary events include poetry and book readings, a conference on Mediterranean nutrition (September 30‑October 2), and a summer‑season lending library that will be open daily for visitors to study and borrow books on local history and culture.
The initiative aims to promote regional heritage, encourage community participation and attract cultural tourism to the Messenian coastal area.
