Turkish municipalities begin extensive asphalt resurfacing projects

The Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality started hot‑asphalt work on Gazneliler Street in the Dulkadiroğlu Gazipaşa neighbourhood, using about 3,000 tonnes of asphalt on a roughly 1‑kilometre stretch, part of a 9 million‑lira investment to improve road safety and comfort.

In Gaziantep, the Şehitkamil Municipality launched a large‑scale resurfacing program in the KÜSGET industrial area, renovating around 45 kilometres of roads with an estimated 125,000 tonnes of asphalt to enhance transport links for local businesses.

Meanwhile, Bursa’s municipal bus service announced temporary route changes for lines B/34 and B/34U beginning 18 June 2026, rerouting around ongoing road works between Yolçatı and Doğanköy and directing passengers to use updated itineraries via the Bursakart app.
