Turkish municipalities launch widespread road and infrastructure projects
Various municipalities across Turkey are conducting extensive infrastructure and road improvement projects. In Balıkesir, the Altıeylül district's Savaştepe Street has undergone a major renovation. Following comprehensive rainwater drainage upgrades by BASKİ, the Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality applied 6,200 tons of double-layer hot asphalt over a 2,200-meter stretch to improve traffic safety and comfort.
In Manisa, educational infrastructure is being strengthened through various investments in Soma, Kırkağaç, and Akhisar, including school restorations and new classroom constructions. Additionally, road works are underway in Sarıgöl to facilitate grape harvesting, and in Soma, where an 8-kilometer stretch is receiving a second layer of surface coating.
Other regional efforts include asphalt renewal in Hacılar (Kayseri) and ongoing superstructure works in Bolu's Beşkavaklar and Paşaköy neighborhoods. In Kahramanmaraş, the Lütfi Köker Boulevard is undergoing a multi-stage renovation involving asphalt application, junction adjustments, and modernized lighting systems.
