Manisa Qur'an Course Football Tournament Boosts Youth Brotherhood

In Sarıgöl district of Manisa, Turkey, six local Qur'an courses organized a small‑sided football tournament on a carpet‑field. The event brought together students from different religious study groups to play matches, promote regular physical activity and reinforce friendship and brotherhood.

After each game, regardless of the score, teams exchanged congratulations, emphasizing a "friendship wins" message. Sportswear for the participants was supplied by charitable sponsors, and the tournament’s organizer, Imam Hatibi Ali Arslan of the Bereketli Mahallesi Mosque, said the aim is to encourage sports participation and social bonds among the youth. The matches will continue throughout the summer, offering a recurring outlet for physical exercise and inter‑course camaraderie.
