Turkey traffic accidents cause multiple fatalities in Gaziantep and Manisa

Multiple fatal traffic accidents have been reported across Turkey, highlighting concerns regarding road infrastructure and driver error.

In Gaziantep, a head-on collision in the Şahinbey district between a car driven by İhsan Toprak and a light commercial vehicle resulted in the deaths of İhsan Toprak and Lalihan Toprak. Four others were injured in the crash. CHP Gaziantep Deputy Hasan Öztürkmen criticized local authorities, stating that the Güneyşehir road has remained unfinished for months, leaving it as a single-lane hazard that contributes to frequent accidents.

In Manisa's Demirci district, a head-on collision occurred on the Sındırgı-Simav highway due to a lane violation. The accident claimed the lives of siblings Erol Uçar and Nurten Erdoğan. Two other individuals were injured and transported to Simav State Hospital. Authorities have launched investigations into both the Gaziantep and Manisa incidents.
