Manzanillo, Mexico to Host 2026 Medio Maratón de la Costa

The Subsecretaría de Turismo of the State of Colima announced the 2026 Medio Maratón de la Costa, a half‑marathon event scheduled for Sunday, 12 July, on Playa Miramar in Manzanillo. The race will offer 5 km, 10 km and 21 km courses for both recreational and competitive runners, with separate male and female categories. Registration is open until 3 July through the Meta Deportiva platform.

Participants will receive electronic timing, a commemorative shirt, a finisher’s medal, on‑course aid stations, medical support and a prize purse for each category. Subsecretary of Tourism Jorge Padilla Castillo said the event reflects the governor’s commitment to promote sports tourism, diversify the local tourism offer, strengthen the regional economy and position Manzanillo as a destination for high‑impact events.
