MAPPA to Animate All Cutscenes in Persona 4 Revival Remake

Atlus announced at Anime Expo 2026 that the Japanese animation studio MAPPA will produce every in‑game cutscene for the upcoming Persona 4 Revival remake. MAPPA, known for series such as Jujutsu Kaisen and Chainsaw Man, previously animated the opening for Persona 5 Royal and the cutscenes of Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road (2025). The announcement included a seven‑second teaser showing protagonist Yu Narukami confronting a Hablerie‑type shadow.

The remake will launch on February 18 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC/Steam. New English voice talent includes Abby Trott as Rise Kujikawa, with Rie Kugimiya voicing her in Japanese. Other cast members are Nazeeh Tarsha (Yu Narukami), Paul Castro Jr. (Yosuke Hanamura), Anne Yatco (Chie Satonaka) and Brianna Knickerbocker (Yukiko Amagi). Atlus also noted a free YouTube streaming of Persona 4 Golden anime clips until 19 August 2026.

The game will feature refreshed graphics, UI, and new battle system elements while retaining the original story line based on Persona 4 Golden.
