Mar Chiquita and Concepción del Uruguay host mental‑health youth events
The municipality of Mar Chiquita organized the first Mental Health Day “Marchi Calma” at the Teatro Leonardo Favio in Santa Clara del Mar. The event opened with Dr. Manuel Arévalo, Secretary of Health, who highlighted the priority of mental‑health policies and announced the creation of a Local Mental Health Table to coordinate prevention, care and promotion across health, education and community sectors. A follow‑up talk on problematic digital consumption among youth is scheduled for 14 August.
In Concepción del Uruguay, more than 1,000 people registered for the Mental Health and Youth Day on 14 August at El Espinillo, prompting the closure of registrations. The day will run in two sessions and involve over 20 schools and 400 participants, featuring young communicators Sofía Calvo and Eial Moldavsky. Workshops will address anxiety, psychological first aid, depression, bullying, digital consumption and social‑media use, led by local mental‑health professionals.
