Sierra Grande: Skeleton found buried under cement in abandoned gas station
Workers performing renovation tasks at an abandoned gas station in Sierra Grande, Río Negro, discovered a human skeleton buried under the cement floor. The site is located on National Route 3, near the Municipal Football Stadium.
According to investigators, the remains were found with the hands crossed, the feet tied, and the head covered by a bag secured with a dark jacket. Other items found at the scene included a prosthetic denture and work boots, which may assist in identifying the victim.
The discovery has prompted a judicial investigation led by Prosecutor Maricel Viotti Zilli. While the condition of the body has raised suspicions of a violent death, authorities have not officially confirmed the cause of death or the exact age of the remains. Forensic specialists from Sierra Grande and San Antonio Oeste, along with local firefighters, assisted in the recovery. The remains have been transferred to Viedma for autopsy to determine the identity of the individual and the circumstances surrounding the death.
