Mar del Plata mobile recycling unit to visit Parque Luro

The Punto Verde mobile unit will visit the Parque Luro neighborhood in Mar del Plata this Thursday. Operating from 10:00 to 13:00 at the commercial center located at Constitución and Blas Parera, the initiative allows residents to drop off various types of recyclable waste.

Between February and August, the program visited 17 public spaces, collecting 22,036 kilograms of solid recyclable materials and 690 liters of used vegetable oil. Data from the Municipal Urban Services Entity (EMSUR) indicates that technological waste accounted for 34% of the total, followed by glass at 27.6%, and paper and cardboard at 15.7%.

The service accepts electrical and electronic waste, used vegetable oil in plastic containers, common and rechargeable batteries, used eyewear, plastics, metals, glass, paper, and cardboard. Residents bringing paper or cardboard will receive a seedling from the Municipal Nursery. The program does not accept ecobottles, medications, tires, large appliances, light bulbs, or mercury batteries.
