María Corina Machado: Opposition organizes reception in Trujillo

The political organization Vente Trujillo has begun mobilizing communities to coordinate a reception for opposition leader María Corina Machado. This deployment aims to strengthen citizen organization amid ongoing social discontent regarding the collapse of public services and the economic crisis in Venezuela.

Recent polling data from Meganalisis indicates significant opposition to the current government, with 88.4% of respondents demanding an immediate change in leadership. The study suggests that in an electoral scenario, Machado would receive 95.2% of effective votes. Additionally, 79.3% of the population views the holding of presidential elections as an urgent necessity.

In a separate development, a video animation styled after a video game has gained viral attention on social media. The clip depicts Machado as a protagonist traveling through various international locations—including stops in Oslo, North America, and Europe—before symbolically returning to Venezuela to a message stating, ‘Venezuela te espera, María’ (Venezuela awaits you, María).
