Marabá officials urge Microentrepreneurs to regularize status by September 30

The Sala do Empreendedor, linked to the Municipal Secretariat of Industry, Commerce, and Mining (Sicom) in Marabá, has called upon Microentrepreneurs (MEI) to regularize their status by September 30.

Failure to address pending issues or debts could lead to exclusion from the Simples Nacional program in 2027, which would prevent entrepreneurs from accessing simplified taxation and social security benefits until 2028. The secretariat offers guidance on debt negotiation and installment plans, with potential discounts of up to 70% for those meeting specific criteria. Marabá currently has over 10,000 registered MEIs.
