Defibrillator installations boost community safety in Pozza di Maranello and Calderà, Italy

In Pozza di Maranello, the 36th public defibrillator was unveiled outside the Farmacia Candeli as part of the municipality’s "Maranello Cardioprotetta" program that began in 2015. The donation by the pharmacy was marked by mayor Luigi Zironi, vice‑mayor Chiara Ferrari and local volunteer groups, expanding a network that already includes schools, sports facilities and the Ferrari museum.

On the promenade of Calderà, the Leo Club of Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto presented a semi‑automatic defibrillator to the town, complemented by support from the Lions Club and Mayor Melangela Scolaro. Club president Antonino Catanese emphasized the device’s symbolic value, stating, "This is not simply the inauguration of a defibrillator – it is a reason of joy for the nearly 40,000 citizens." Both initiatives aim to increase immediate cardiac emergency response capacity in their respective communities.
