Marat Grigorian advances to ONE SAMURAI tournament final

Marat Grigorian has secured a place in the ONE SAMURAI Featherweight Kickboxing Tournament final following the disqualification of Luo Chao. During the official weigh-ins for the event at Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Luo Chao missed weight, allowing the Armenian fighter to advance to the semifinals without competing.

Grigorian expressed frustration regarding the situation, stating he felt “angry, frustrated, and deeply disappointed” because he had prepared specifically to compete. While waiting for the other semifinal match, Grigorian observed Masaaki Noiri defeat Mohammad Siasarani via split decision. Grigorian noted that while Siasarani showed heart, he believed Noiri deserved the victory for pushing the pace.

The tournament winner will earn a guaranteed shot at the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Champion, Superbon. Grigorian, who is currently on a four-fight winning streak, will face Noiri in the final at a future ONE SAMURAI event.
