Marche region receives 24 donated flood‑relief vehicles
Over 800,000 euros raised by Italian trade unions CGIL, CISL, UIL and industrial body Confindustria funded the purchase of 24 vehicles for municipalities in the Marche region most affected by the 2022–2023 floods. The cars were handed over in a ceremony on Piazza Garibaldi in Senigallia, attended by regional officials, local mayors, the extraordinary commissioner and representatives of the unions.
The vehicles will support civil protection, social services and transport for vulnerable citizens, and three will be used to restore a key road linking university students to Urbino. One of the units was assigned to the town of Fano, enhancing its territorial‑management capabilities.
The donation underscores a coordinated solidarity effort between workers, employers and public authorities to bolster disaster‑response capacity across the provinces of Ancona and Pesaro‑Urbino.
