Marche region celebrates 20 Blue Flag awards in Italy

Twenty municipalities in the Marche region of Italy have been awarded the Blue Flag recognition for 2026, celebrating excellence in environmental sustainability, water quality, and coastal services. A regional ceremony held in Campofilone honored the recipients, which include locations ranging from Gabicce Mare to San Benedetto del Tronto.

Senigallia secured its 29th consecutive Blue Flag for the Spiaggia di Velluto. Additionally, the Porto della Rovere tourist landing site received the recognition, highlighting high environmental standards and service quality at the port. Marche Regional President Francesco Acquaroli noted that the awards reflect a successful collaborative effort between local administrations, businesses, and citizens to enhance the region's attractiveness as a diverse tourist destination.
