Marche region manages 4 billion euros in PNRR funding

The Marche region in Italy is managing approximately 4.009 billion euros distributed across 19,255 projects under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). As of July 1, 2026, the region reported that 28.3% of these resources were associated with completed interventions, slightly exceeding the national average of 26.2%.

While a large portion of the funds—71.7%—remains tied to projects currently in progress, administrative data indicates that being ‘in progress’ does not necessarily imply a delay. The distinction is critical as the European Commission monitors milestones and targets to release funding tranches. In the Marche region, the progress of specific provinces like Ascoli and Fermo is being monitored closely ahead of the August 31 European deadline.
