Marche region sees rise in international tourism and cultural promotion

The Marche region is seeing a significant rise in tourism, particularly among international visitors seeking authentic experiences. At the National Festival of the Most Beautiful Villages of Italy held in Sammichele di Bari, Marche representatives showcased the region’s historical, cultural, and gastronomic heritage.

Strategic development projects are being highlighted to promote sustainable and immersive travel. This includes the new Ciclovia dei Borghi più Belli d’Italia, a 1,100-kilometer cycling route connecting 33 villages across five provinces, and the Strada dei Montefeltro e Malatesta, recognized as one of Italy’s most beautiful roads.

Data from hospitality provider Teloni.eu indicates a 77% growth in the international traveler segment, outperforming the 7.5% average growth seen by Italian agencies. The region is increasingly attracting foreign interest through historical villas and experiential stays, with wedding services accounting for approximately 30% of annual bookings.
