Marco Accetti remains central suspect in Orlandi-Gregori investigation

New developments have emerged in the long-running Orlandi-Gregori investigation in Rome. Maria Laura Bulanti, the mother of Josè Garramon, testified before a commission regarding the 1983 death of her twelve-year-old son, who was fatally struck in the Pineta di Castel Fusano.

Bulanti provided testimony regarding previous communications with prosecutors Simona Maisto and Giancarlo Capaldo. She recalled Maisto suggesting that while the suspect, Marco Accetti, could not be retried due to the principle of ne bis in idem, he might provide information leading to the location of the missing Emanuela Orlandi.

Accetti, a Roman photographer and confessed perpetrator, remains a central figure in the case. The Carabinieri forensic unit has recently secured a piece of evidence, a flute, which Accetti had previously submitted to the prosecutor's office in 2013. This investigation coincides with actions by prosecutor Stefano D’Arma, who has brought charges regarding two separate kidnappings.
