In a new development, the Rome Prosecutor's Office has placed Gabriella Boggiani under investigation. Boggiani testified before a parliamentary commission that in 1983, Accetti—an acquaintance at the time—instructed her to make a prank call from a public booth, telling her to say, ‘we know where Emanuela Orlandi is.’ The parliamentary commission is now reopening the investigation, refocused by a mysterious diary entry containing a school joke. Furthermore, the Rome Prosecutor's Office has placed Marco Accetti back on the register of suspects, investigating him for kidnapping for the purpose of extortion. A parliamentary commission has summoned Gianfranco Cerboni, known as ‘Giggetto’, to testify on October 15.
