Marco Aurélio Cunha discharged after robbery attempt in São Paulo

Marco Aurélio Cunha, a physician and former director of São Paulo FC, has been discharged from Hospital Samaritano to continue his recovery at home.

Cunha was hospitalized after being targeted in a robbery by a ‘window-smashing’ gang in the western zone of São Paulo. While in a taxi near the Clínicas metro station, a criminal broke the vehicle's window and snatched his cellphone. In an attempt to pursue the suspect, Cunha fell on a staircase, resulting in five fractured ribs, a head injury, and various abrasions. He has been advised to remain on rest for several weeks following medical examinations, including a CT scan.
