RTL hosts “3-Million-Euro-Week” of “Wer wird Millionär?”

RTL is hosting a special “3-Million-Euro-Week” of the quiz show “Wer wird Millionär?”, hosted by Günther Jauch. Running from October 5 to October 8, the event features a generational theme where different age groups compete in preliminary rounds.

The schedule includes young adults (18-year-olds) on Monday, the over-30 generation on Tuesday, and retirees aged 65 and older on Wednesday. To accommodate this special programming, the reality show “Sommerhaus der Stars” will be temporarily moved from its Tuesday prime-time slot to the following week.

Participants who earn at least 16,000 euros in the preliminary rounds will qualify for the grand finale on Thursday, October 8. In the final, contestants must decide whether to secure their current winnings or risk them for a chance to win up to three million euros.

Individual highlights from the week include student Marco Schwarz, who struggled with a question regarding floor cleaning but managed to reach the final, and Maya Upmann, an 18-year-old student who provided entertaining moments during her participation.
