Marcobre reports record copper output and sustainability milestones in 2025

Marcobre released its 2025 Integrated Report, noting a 5% increase in copper production to 130,964 tonnes fine copper. The company achieved zero fatal accidents, a record low injury frequency rate of 0.59 per million work hours, and over 350,000 hours of safety training. Environmental performance included recycling 41.4% of hazardous waste and 85.8% of non‑hazardous waste, and recognition for tire reuse initiatives. Governance improvements featured ISO 37001 anti‑bribery certification and 100% anti‑corruption training for staff, clients and suppliers. Socially, Marcobre attained 97% community acceptance in Marcona, created 740 local jobs, facilitated $4.2 million in commercial exchanges, and increased female employment to 12.8% of its workforce. The report underscores the company’s commitment to responsible mining and shared value creation in Peru.
