Mardin Culture Route Festival features traditional arts and children's activities
The Mardin Culture Route Festival, organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, continues with a diverse program of workshops, exhibitions, and activities for children.
Educational events for children include chess competitions aimed at developing analytical thinking, street games, and various activities at the 15 July Park Children's Village, such as creative workshops and digital games.
Traditional arts are a central focus of the festival. Workshops at the Sakıp Sabancı Mardin City Museum include filography and stone carving, where participants learn techniques for shaping materials like marble and hard stone. Additionally, the 'Ancient Arts from Past to Future' exhibition at the Dilek Sabancı Art Gallery showcases illumination and miniature works. Other exhibitions, such as the stamp exhibition at the Mardin Metropolitan Municipality Art Academy, feature historical collections including traditional mosaics.
