Maria Panagopoulou shares memory of Kostas Hardavellas and Giorgos Mazonakis

Maria Panagopoulou, the widow of journalist Kostas Hardavellas, shared a personal anecdote regarding a past interaction between Hardavellas and singer Giorgos Mazonakis. The post was made following a special tribute to Mazonakis on the television program ‘The Voice’.

Panagopoulou recalled a conversation where Hardavellas expressed his deep appreciation for a specific Mazonakis song containing the lyrics ‘four went, they told me again they left, leave from the shop...’. During their meeting, the journalist shared a poignant reflection on the lyrics, telling the singer, ‘I really like that song you say, kid. I know well what it is to be told to leave the shop when you do not want to leave, because the only thing waiting for you is a dark and empty house.’
