Maribor and Zagreb implement special transport for All Saints' Day
Maribor and Zagreb have announced special transportation arrangements and extended cemetery hours for the upcoming All Saints' Day holidays to facilitate visits to gravesites.
In Maribor, Slovenia, Marprom, in cooperation with the Maribor Funeral Company and the Municipality of Maribor, will provide free shuttle services using Maister vehicles at the Dobrava and Pobrežje cemeteries. These shuttles aim to assist elderly and mobility-impaired visitors. Additionally, Marprom will offer free city bus services on lines G3, G5, and P12 on October 31 and November 1, 2026. Cemetery operating hours will be extended, with closing times reaching 22:00 on October 30 and midnight on October 31 and November 1.
In Zagreb, Croatia, ZET will implement an extraordinary public transport schedule to manage traffic near major cemeteries. From October 24 to November 2, 2026, traffic regulations will vary in strictness. On All Saints' Day, November 1, access to cemetery zones will be restricted to ZET buses, taxis, and authorized vehicles, with Miroševac cemetery accessible exclusively by ZET vehicles. Extraordinary bus lines will connect major city points to the Mirogoj, Miroševac, and Markovo Polje cemeteries between 08:00 and 19:00. To assist those with limited mobility, three shuttle vans will operate on circular routes at the larger cemeteries every 15 minutes.
