Maricá Sanemar hiring contest delayed pending contract review
The municipality of Maricá has prepared the edital for a new public competition to staff the local water utility, Sanemar. Publication of the edital is on hold while the city reviews the contract with the Coordination of Academic Selection of the Federal University of Fluminense (Coseac‑UFF), which has been hired since 2022 to organize the process. The deadline was initially expected in June, but the contractual analysis has pushed the timetable back.
The contest will offer more than 50 positions across administrative, technical and engineering areas, ranging from topographers and environmental analysts to civil, electrical and chemical engineers. Salary details have not been released. This will be the first exclusive public tender for Sanemar, previously its vacancies were included in broader municipal contests. The delay also affects related municipal hiring plans, including 836 health‑agent posts and a future municipal guard recruitment slated for 2026.
