Maricá launches food outreach program and extends tourism contract worth R$27.9 million

The municipality of Maricá, Brazil, expanded its community initiatives this week. A mobile stand called “AMAR nos Bairros” brought family‑farm products and information about the public company Maricá Alimentos to residents of the Inoã neighbourhood, allowing locals to sample and evaluate the company's food lines.

Separately, the city’s development agency Codemar renewed its partnership with the Rio de Janeiro Convention & Visitors Bureau for another 12 months, raising the total value of the tourism‑promotion contract to R$27.9 million. The agreement, signed by Codemar director Angelo Dutra, funds marketing, institutional outreach and investment attraction for Maricá until May 2027.
