Marina Bitu unveils ocean-inspired Summer 2027 collection at SPFW

The fashion brand Marina Bitu presented its Summer 2027 collection, titled ‘Abissa’, during São Paulo Fashion Week (SPFW). The collection draws inspiration from the ocean and the lives of three women: Ceará fisherwoman Márcia Ribeiro, Italian-Brazilian biologist Marta Vannucci, and American cartographer Marie Tharp.

Design elements include silk and organza evening dresses, geometric silhouettes, and textures mimicking fish scales or coral reefs. The brand continues to emphasize artisanal craftsmanship, utilizing hand-painted banana fiber from the Associação Fibrarte partner and wheat straw leather. The collection also expands beyond its signature fluid evening wear to include cotton tailoring sets, such as shirts paired with trousers or shorts.
