São Paulo Fashion Week 2026

Overview

The 61st edition of São Paulo Fashion Week (SPFW) opened on October 13, featuring various designer collaborations and collections.

Designer Marina Bitu presented the ‘Abissa’ Summer 2027 collection, which draws inspiration from the ocean and the lives of three women: Ceará fisherwoman Márcia Ribeiro, Italian-Brazilian biologist Marta Vannucci, and American cartographer Marie Tharp. The collection utilizes textures mimicking coral reefs or fish scales, silk, and organza, while incorporating artisanal elements such as hand-painted banana fiber and wheat straw leather. The line also expanded from fluid evening wear to include cotton tailoring sets.

Additionally, the event featured a continued partnership between Olympikus and designer Alexandre Herchcovitch. The collaboration presented 43 looks, including four limited-edition versions of the Corre 5 and Corre Trilha 3 performance sneakers that blend technical sports features with a gothic and romantic aesthetic.
