Marine Atlan’s La Gradiva named Film of the Critics by SNCCI

The National Syndicate of Italian Film Critics (SNCCI) has designated La Gradiva, the debut film by French director Marine Atlan, as the Film of the Critics. The film is scheduled for theatrical release on November 12, distributed by Fandango Distribuzione.

Set during a school trip to Naples and Pompeii, the film follows a class of French high school students exploring the ruins of Vesuvius. The narrative explores themes of adolescence, social differences, and power dynamics through the lens of youth encountering a world frozen in time.

La Gradiva was previously recognized at the Cannes Film Festival, winning the Grand Prix Ami Paris at the Semaine de la Critique. The production is a Les Films du Poisson production, co-produced by Bibi Film, and was filmed entirely in Italy.
