Rassemblement National leaders outline 2027 campaign strategies

As the 2027 presidential campaign begins to take shape in France, Rassemblement National (RN) leaders Marine Le Pen and Jordan Bardella have outlined their strategic roles and economic platform. During a debate organized by MEDEF, Le Pen proposed a plan to save 125 billion euros by reducing public spending, specifically targeting EU contributions, immigration costs, and various public agencies. She also reaffirmed her commitment to pension reform, proposing a return to a retirement age of 62, or even 60 for those who began working before age 20.

Jordan Bardella, the RN president, clarified his political ambitions during a campaign event in Châlons-en-Champagne. He stated that he intends to run for Prime Minister to work alongside Le Pen, who would serve as the presidential candidate. Bardella also criticized left-wing politicians, such as those from La France Insoumise and the Greens, accusing them of threatening civil peace by suggesting civil disobedience in the event of an RN victory.

Other political figures, including Bruno Retailleau of the Republicans, are also positioning themselves. Retailleau has faced pressure from supporters to remain in the race to prevent voters from shifting toward the far-right.
